I build cloud platforms that don't wake you up at 3am.
Frank Godson — formerly Frank Egwu — is a Senior DevOps Engineer and Enterprise Cloud Architect with 15+ years turning business requirements into secure, observable, cost-efficient infrastructure across GCP, AWS, Azure and beyond. Trusted by enterprises like Dolby Laboratories, US healthcare providers, regulated fintech platforms, and high-growth startups.
Architecture is a business decision before it's a technical one.
Most companies are not failing in the cloud because of technology. They are failing because of decisions: wrong architecture, inefficient setups, and zero visibility into cost and performance. That gap is where I work.
Over 15+ years I've moved from Linux and Solaris system administration in Lagos to architecting AI infrastructure for Dolby Laboratories, leading zero-downtime GCP migrations at Andela, migrating US hospital clinical systems to Azure, and designing regulated fintech platforms in Europe. The thread through all of it: translating what the business needs into platforms that are secure, observable, and cheap to run.
Today I operate on three fronts. I take on enterprise architecture and DevOps contracts directly. I lead Techsense Developers, a Top Rated Plus consulting agency with AWS and Google Cloud accreditations. And I'm building NotJustEvent, an AI-powered event marketplace, as Co-founder and CEO.
I publish and work as Frank Godson. Earlier in my career, and in coverage published before September 2026, the same work appears under my former name Frank Egwu (Frank Chima Egwu). Same person, same track record — the surname changed, nothing else did.
I've also completed executive education at Lagos Business School, Pan-Atlantic University, because infrastructure decisions worth millions deserve an architect who understands the balance sheet they land on.
A track record measured in uptime, not adjectives.
From enterprise AI infrastructure to regulated fintech, every engagement below shipped with documentation, runbooks and numbers attached. Select any role to expand it.
- Lead infrastructure architecture for a content intelligence platform across GCP and Scaleway, post-migration from AWS-centric infrastructure.
- Designed scalable analytics foundations using Kafka, Dataproc, AlloyDB and Cloud Run/GKE patterns with environment separation and cost-conscious planning.
- Integrated OpenTelemetry tracing, improving monitoring coverage and operational visibility by 70%.
- Engaged as a subcontracted Azure consultant and one of the core cloud consultants on the enterprise migration of PAM Health’s clinical digital systems off AIROS-managed infrastructure and onto Microsoft Azure.
- Programme scale: 60+ hospitals and 4,000+ virtual machines migrated across every US region, delivered with zero clinical downtime — no interruption to patient care at any point in the cutover.
- Re-platformed WellSky and a wider estate of clinical and operational tooling onto Azure-native equivalents, rather than lifting the incumbent managed-hosting stack wholesale — landing the estate on managed services with a cleaner operational and cost profile.
- Delivered inside a HIPAA-regulated environment where clinical systems carry protected health information and downtime is measured in patient care, not page views — working through assessment, cutover sequencing and post-migration stabilization with clinical, application and infrastructure stakeholders.
- Designed a cost-efficient GCP microservices architecture with Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, AlloyDB and secure IAM for AI-driven financial automation.
- Architected the Kafka, Redis and Langfuse stack powering real-time GenAI pipeline orchestration and traceability.
- Automated delivery with Terraform and GitHub Actions: release time improved 55%, infrastructure cost reduced 30%.
- Led migration of legacy infrastructure to Kubernetes on GKE with full IaC automation and operational runbooks.
- Improved GitLab CI/CD workflows, increasing deployment speed 50% while cutting manual release risk.
- Implemented Google Secret Manager and KMS-based secret management, hardening compliance posture; containerized Kafka/Spark workloads.
- Architected and led AI infrastructure modernization across Azure, AWS and GCP, converting business needs into multi-region technical blueprints.
- Designed cloud-native infrastructure with Terraform and Helm, aligned with governance, reliability and compliance expectations.
- Implemented advanced observability with Datadog and Prometheus, reducing incident MTTR by 40%; defined SLIs/SLOs and operational guardrails for distributed teams.
- Directed AWS/GCP cloud modernization with Terraform, GitHub Actions and secure multi-tenant platform architecture.
- Built IAM/WAF security baselines, CI/CD pipelines and Datadog observability standards that reduced cloud costs 30%.
- Introduced trunk-based GitOps, blue-green releases and architecture governance while mentoring a 6-engineer team.
- Architected AWS/GCP infrastructure supporting a global technology community of 50,000+ members.
- Reduced CI/CD release time 35% through pipeline optimization and IaC standardization.
- Established reliability practices, integration standards and business-aligned SLA/SLO thinking.
- Led zero-downtime cloud migrations to GCP for enterprise clients, strengthening reliability and operational continuity.
- Accelerated deployment cycles 15% through infrastructure automation and cloud-native patterns.
- Mentored engineers on GCP, DevOps culture and secure cloud engineering practice.
- NVIT: engineered CI/CD pipelines boosting deployment efficiency 75%; automated monitoring cut downtime 25%; delivered AWS and DevOps training.
- Techsense Developers: built SaaS products and CI/CD automation as a full-stack and cloud automation engineer, improving delivery consistency 40%.
- NIIT / Prisma Cafe: administered Linux, Sun Solaris and Windows server environments with 99.9% uptime. The discipline started here.
The stack, battle-tested in production.
Tools are interchangeable; judgment about when to use them is not. This is the toolkit I've shipped and operated with, organized the way I think about platforms.
Shipped numbers, not slideware.
Every figure below is from a real engagement, with the platform still running.
PAM Health clinical systems across every US region, as one of the core Azure consultants on the ResolveTech programme.
Clinical and operational estate re-platformed off AIROS-managed hosting onto Azure-native services.
Zero interruption to patient care across the entire 60-hospital cutover.
Unified observability, alerting and automation at Dolby Laboratories.
Terraform-backed CI/CD modernization at NeroBudget; 50% at Intemic.
Cloud-native design, right-sizing and managed services across AI and startup platforms.
OpenTelemetry, Prometheus/Grafana, Datadog and cloud-native telemetry patterns.
CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation engineered at NVIT.
A standard set in early sysadmin years and held ever since.
Three companies, built and operated.
Architecture credibility is one thing. Carrying P&L responsibility for the platforms you design is another. I do both.
Techsense Developers
A global technology consulting and development company delivering cloud managed services, custom software, workforce augmentation and end-to-end IT consulting for enterprises and startups across Lagos, Delaware and London.
NotJustEvent
An AI-powered event marketplace connecting organizers with verified vendors and venues across Africa, with AI budget forecasting, vendor matchmaking, payments, ticketing and booking built in.
Nohena
An AI-powered trade-compliance platform for Nigeria's import trade. Nohena reads import documents before lodgement and surfaces classification, valuation, permit and documentation risk while there is still time to fix it — giving clearing agents, freight forwarders and importers better intelligence ahead of the declaration, without replacing the licensed professional who signs it.
One person, two bylines, one continuous record.
I changed my surname from Egwu to Godson in 2026. Independent press coverage spans both names, which makes the record self-verifying: reporting published before September 2026 names me Frank Egwu; reporting from September 2026 onward names me Frank Godson. Same person, same companies, same body of work.
